Remembering Grandma Smith

It was a bittersweet day on March 14. Remembering Grandma Smith on Saturday was a hard and emotional day for all that loved her. All of Grandma's kids, grandsons and a few great grand kids were able to get together on March 14 to celebrate the life of one amazing woman. The Mission del Sol church in Tempe (where the service was held) was filled with friends and family that wanted to pay their respects to Dorothy Louise Smith. Her passing was extremely sad for those who were close to her. From sugar cookies to chicken noodle soup to cannolis to fried chicken, she was the kind of Grandma anyone would want.
We are certain that she is looking down on her family and friends and thanking them for remembering her so fondly. She will be missed and thought of often.

After the service her family and friends gathered at Becky and George Downing's house for lunch. As people ate, they reminisced about Grandma. The stories that were shared about her will be told for years to come so that we will remember what an amazing woman she was.
